Volume 2 (1883-1884) Brooklyn Chess Chronicle, Volume 2, 1883-1884
"In August 1882 the editor kicked off a circulating (or ""tramp"") correspondence game where the player making the move would simply send it on to another player and so on: the game soon crossed the Atlantic and ended up Scotland where it finished in March 1883. Readers looking up the obituary of Morphy (who died in July 1884) will be astonished to find just four lines: the editors did not attempt to write a biographical sketch as ""his chess life, his name, and his glorious achievements over the chess board are well-known all over the world."" An interesting read and a valuable source for chess antiquarians." (EUR 29.00)

Volume 3 (1884-1885) Brooklyn Chess Chronicle, Volume 3, 1884-1885
The magazine edited by JB and EM Munoz was now into its third year and apparently thriving. The number relating to November 15, 1884 contained a most unusual score / not of a chess game but a piece of piano music dedicated to Paul Morphy, composed by Sig. Giuseppi Liberali, of Patras, Greece, who elsewhere composes problems for the magazine. Thece is much excellent reporting of world events, including full crosstables of English and Scottish tournaments. (EUR 29.00)
